What is oneTRUEzone?

oneTRUEzone is a three phase coaching program designed to help high school and college students discover their ideal career paths. The inspiration behind oneTRUEzone came from hearing parents’ frustrations about their kids lacking direction and focus in college and based on statistics which show that many kids are taking longer to graduate, mainly because they don’t know what they want to do. Furthermore, due to the inordinate amount demanded of students today, kids are so focused on what they’re supposed to do that they don’t take the time to figure out what they’d love to do. We started this company to address all these issues.  

Through a series of one-on-one and group coaching sessions in which students reflect on their past experiences, natural abilities, skills, talents, passions and interests, they gain a greater sense of self and become cognizant of their unique gift. We then help students match their special gift to possible career choices. Lastly, students learn the skills of informational interviewing, networking and interning. With career counseling, the acquisition of these practical skills and the self-knowledge students can gain through the program, they will be ready to pursue their ideal careers.

What makes us unique is that the oneTRUEzone program is not just about helping students discover a career that simply interests them, but extends beyond traditional career counseling by getting to the heart of what truly matters to them. The exercises in our program allow participants to look much more closely at themselves, how they feel, who they are, what makes them most happy, what they are aligned with, and what makes their hearts sing. Societal pressures have made it almost impossible for today’s youth to be true to themselves, and we aim to bring it back.
